Los Angeles Dodgers to wear alternate road jerseys in 2014
The Los Angeles Dodgers have worn gray road jerseys with "Los Angeles" on the front since the 1999 season, something the team also did from 1959-1969. The Dodgers will continue to wear the Los Angeles road uniforms as well.
"Because we are equally proud of our iconic brand name and the city we represent and with the number of Dodger fans across the country, we felt it important to have two sets of road jerseys to feature both the team name, as well as Los Angeles," said Dodgers chief marketing officer in a press release. "This will begin when we start play in spring training and we plan to wear the `Dodgers’ jersey when we open the regular season in Australia on March 22."
