The signing gives the Broncos a great chance to avenge their Super Bowl blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Peyton Manning is returning for what could be his final season, and the Broncos clearly have the weapons on offense to be great again, even with the flameout in the Super Bowl. Now, it appears as if the defense has some firepower of its own to match.
The move, however, comes with drawbacks. Ware, Talib and Ward all have been beset by injuries the past few seasons, and the Broncos have committed $60 million guaranteed. Ultimately, nothing short of winning a Super Bowl this coming season, or perhaps the one after that given Peyton Manning's short window, would qualify these moves as being a success.
